Branding a new upscale casual restaurant that feels like it’s been around forever.

Top Chef alumni Spike Mendelsohn was tapped to open a new upscale casual restaurant in a large mixed use Cleveland development. Swatchroom and Buena were hired to take on the architecture, interior design, branding, and experience of the new concept. How can you make a brand new restaurant concept feel like a go to brunch destination but fancy enough to have a special dinner date?

Swatchroom created a textural and interior plan that created warmth, coziness, grandness, and nostalgic familiarity. Buena took those inspirations and created a brand identity to match the space and build the reputation of the restaurant. We chose some hand painted textures to include in the branded elements, mixed with some very classical typography and gold leaf elements to add the touch of class and luxe that didn’t go too far.

The Last Page is positioned to open and to make a large impact on the growing Cleveland upscale casual dining scene.
